Bliss at Beach

Chirpy talks,

Bubbly smiles,

Pushy nudges,

Crazy chases,

Splashy waves,

Frolicking mates,

Sand messages,

Heartfelt banters,

Make the beach an inexplicable experience.

Telangana – Social Loss Due to Immaturity

“Any man can make mistakes, but only an idiot persists in his error.” – Marcus Tullius Cicero

This statement stands correct for the persisting issue of the division of Andhra Pradesh into Telangana and Andhra. The revolution which initially started out with a great intention of developing the Telangana region finally ended up as a fight of egos between the so- called leaders of the state. The fight which took place between the very few of the state has caused a huge amount of loss for the entire state. The position to which Andhra Pradesh has reached with great struggle over the past years went dropped down, all this in just a month’s time due to the state “bandhs” which were organized in protests of Telangana and Andhra. Difference of opinion on Telangana issue prevailed in every party and this issue saw to it that there was no unity existing among the leaders of the state.

The present ruling Congress party under Sonia Gandhi’s leadership lacked democratic decision making to solve such sensitive issues. Many political observers believe that Congress has an unspoken hand behind this political drama. The cold war which followed between KCR and Lagadapati, after the Centre’s decision of passing the bill looked just like the fight between two kindergarten kids fighting over their favourite chocolate. The fights, bandhs, protests which occurred in Andhra Pradesh lacked the maturity and common sense. The Prajarajyam Chief, Chiranjeevi has proved that the right place for an actor is a film industry. The announcement of the new state due to the worsening of ill-health of K.Chandrasekhara Rao, TRS chief, will in the future lead to a new fashion of hunger strike as their tool to achieve their goals. This fashion of hunger strike can show the foolish nature of the human beings. The leaders of the state, who are picked out to be the representatives of the state have brought shame to the state and let the whole nation down because of their personal rifts.

This comes as a wake-up call for the youth to take intelligent and intellect driven decisions while picking up their leaders. Voting is a very important process and the majority of youth have never taken interest in politics due to such immaturity displayed by the leaders elders. However, I strongly believe that to change the system, we, the educated youth have to enter politics and lead the nation towards a better future. And participate in the growth of the nation by voting intelligently.

Dirty Display of Money

Once again the question of how efficient the Indian Government is, comes into question as the Politicians launch into rallies of self promotion. When someone talks about ‘politician’ and ‘self promotion’, the first person which comes to mind is Mayawati. She crossed quite the limits when she got herself garlanded with 1000 rupee notes, twice. Each garland was estimated to be around a few crores each. At one end, the ministers talk about the lack of financial resources and at the other end we find the same politicians themselves wasting money on unnecessary activities.

Despite of all these pointless activities, people seem to be fine with this extravagant display and wastage of money. The party members insist on giving such gifts to Mayawati and as a leader, Mayawati lacks what is called integrity, modesty and compassion for her duty. Why isn’t some action being taken against such leaders? And why don’t the leaders themselves realize that there exist oppressed people and destitute in the society who need their attention and care. Instead of wasting money in such a needless activity, they could have spent this money in making better the situation of many of the people who lie fall under the category of the “Below Poverty Line”.

I call upon the Youth to take the situation in to their hands and revolt against such foolish acts by the Politicians. It is upto the youth to exercise their voting power and elect the right kind of leaders who will do justice to their duty and not use the power for their own benefit. Finally, I would like to reinstate that the Public has a very important role to play in the economic growth of the country and that they should take a stand in such situations.

Life-time Punishment for An Innocent Mistake?

In which world would one say that jail is the penalty for an innocent mistake that occurred because of fear? Fear has always been the cause of mistakes and it continues to rake its power. No one in their wide awake life would think that one day they would wake up, do one small mistake and land up in jail for that. A 13- year old, fearing punishment from his father boarded the first train he spotted at his local railway station at Lahore and he had no idea that the train he had boarded was Samjhauta Express and even less inkling, that he would land in prison on the Indian side of the border due to his fear.

It has been over a month since this young kid has been held captive in the Juvenile Prison. A student of class VII in a government school in Lahore, he misses his mother, little sister and group of friends he used to hang out with. Now, even his father’s stern punishments seem sweet compared to the unfriendly, harsh treatment that he is getting in India. The Pakistani boy naively looked at the journalists and asked if he could not be forgiven his “small mistake” and allowed to be reunited with his family so that he can lead his normal life.

The boy recalls that he was as usual hanging out with his friends and when it was time for him to go home; he had panicked and boarded the train which landed him this trouble. But even this was nothing compared to what followed. The boy was taken into custody and then he was accused of violating various sections of the law for running afoul of the Indian Passengers Act and the Foreigners Act. Since then, he had been held in the Juvenile Prison. Even his pleas for making an overseas phone call to his family have been turned down by the Indian authorities of the Juvenile.

Why this injustice? Wasn’t it always considered that human justice is the foremost duty of humanity? We, as Indians who have always been famous for their helping nature should make new rules so that the Innocent don’t suffer. There should be a separate law which would provide facilities to such innocent kids to be deported immediately to their countries. Such incidents appal us and make us realize our duties as humans. We should take a stand and help such innocents against injustice.

Randome!!

The title that has been put up might suggest that I am going to write about random things. But I admit I have no topic in mind or no thoughts in mind to write about. I am here because I feel like writing. I feel like putting on paper all those feelings that I feel. All those tiny flutters of hope for change, strange sense of fear for failure, happy moments with friends and many more feelings that I feel. I just feel like rambling on about the various things which keep coming to my mind. Its just that I am so restless right now, I am unable to put my thoughts together and piece them properly. Well, enough of the random restlessness....will be back with something solid soon.

I Love Federer!!!

Ever since Federer had a fall from his crown, people around me kept saying that Federer's reign has come to an end and that it's better if he retired. Youngsters have replaced him and Rafa would be the new King. But there always remained a tiny hope in my heart that my KING would reemerge and take his place. That hasnt yet happened, though I always hope for that to happen. Well coming to the latest results, Federer has won the semi-final rounds of Roland Garros-French Open.

For a really long time, the match looked like Federer had really lost track of winning the matches as Del Potro had won two sets and Federer won just one set. But Fed is no normal player, he fought back and we could see that he came to his full form in the fourth set. He won the fourth set to make it square with Del Potro. The score was 2-2. Del Potro was an equally competitive opponent. He has earned himself a new fan-ME!!! However, lets go on with praising my love-Fed!! Fed fought with his competitor and we could see that it was a tough fight from the way both of them fought for points ; the aggression that could seen on their faces after they have won each point. The last set was a worth watching set-awesome is the word that I am looking for. It kept me grooved to my position. The set was a close call. At some points , the situation would be as if Federer is going to take away the match as he was one point above Del, but then Del was not a person who would give up without a fight. Till the point was won by Fed, there was no saying that he would win the match. And at last, the moment had come!! Fed has won the semi-finals round against Del which would take him to the finals of French Open. Lets hope that Fed will smash the opponent in the finals and win his first ever - French Open title!!

P.S: I have found out in this match that Del Potro was even taller than Federer!!! (:D). Ooooh!! I love men who are tall!!

Summer-2009!!

With the rainy season approaching, people everywhere have hopes of surviving from the scorching sun. This year's summer has seen the highest possible temperatures all over the country and in Pilani we found it to be extremely hot. But God save us, the days at pilani are over and we are safe at our houses. Thats what I thought until my practise school started. Practise school is an entirely new different experience and an episode in my life.

Practise school, the structured course of our curriculum is about industrial exposure and application of our theoritical knowledge to practical applications. This has me running from my home to places far away in the city by buses, share-autos ( an innovative concept) and local trains. However, the sun had taken a toll on my energy levels. I was famished by my journeys in the sun. The announcement of rainy season has given me a new hope. Now I can run around the city happily in the rainy season, the most beautiful season created by God!!!
